Kailee Viator Batson -- MIXED MEDIA VISUAL ARTIST & TATTOOER

   I have been tattooing for six years. I began my apprenticeship at Javelina Tattoo in 2018 where I worked alongside many incredible artists of varying styles. In 2023, myself and cosmetic & paramedical tattooer, Cat Green, opened Iron Gate Studios in Beaumont, TX. It is a more secluded and private tattoo experience. We enjoy a quiet, calm atmosphere. I am currently training two tattoo apprentices, Matthew Mahan and Kelly Costlow Cantrell. Both are talented artists in their own right, and I am excited to see where this journey takes them.

   I would consider my own tattooing style to be "illustrative," though I do not concern myself too much with which particular box my work would be put into. I enjoy tattooing natural elements, such as birds, plants, and insects. Many would say my work is most recognized for my precise linework and rich, though muted, color palettes. I do work by appointment only, and I only take new bookings three times per year. In mid November, I book for January through April of the following year. In mid March, I book for May through August. Finally, in mid July, I book for September through December. If you are wanting to set an appointment, please pay special attention to my Facebook and Instagram feeds.
